About Firefly Airlines

With a fleet size of 19 high end aircrafts of ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600, Firefly’s mission is to bring communities closer by connecting through the network of point-to-point flights. Due to short flight duration, Firefly offers multiple daily flights to most of the covered destinations.

Firefly Booking Classes

Firefly booking is available for economy class only, which is the only travel class available for both of its aircrafts. Passengers can relax on a comfortable leather seat with a seat pitch of 30 inch and a spacious leg room. Firefly booking is allowed for empty adjacent seats also if the aircraft is not full.

Firefly Online Check In

Firefly online check in is available for outgoing and return flights separately, and passengers can avail the online check in facility from 14 days up to 1 hour before scheduled flight departure time.  Code share passengers can proceed with their Firefly online check in as early as 24 hours up to 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time. 

Firefly Airport Check In

The airport check in counter for Firefly flights opens 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure.

The airport check in counter for Firefly flights opens 45 minutes before flight departure at Terminal 2 and closes 45 minutes before departure.

The airport check in counter for Firefly flights opens 10 minutes before the scheduled flight departure and closes 10 minutes before departure.

The airport check in counter opens 30 minutes (for Turboprop Aircraft) and 45 minutes (for Jet Aircraft) before scheduled flight departure and closes 30 minutes before flight departure.

The airport check in opens 45 minutes before flight departure and closes 45 minutes before departure.

Firefly Baggage Allowance

Firefly baggage allowance is excellent for both domestic and international flights.

Firefly has a strict hand baggage policy to ensure cabin safety and comfort. Each passenger can carry one piece of hand baggage onboard that weighs 7kg or less and should not exceed the dimensions of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm.

Note: Baggage that exceeds 7kg or set dimensions, or is deemed offensive in nature will be checked into the baggage hold at Boarding Gate and RM50 fee per piece will be charged.

• Firefly passengers are allowed to carry 20kg of complimentary checked-baggage allowance and can purchase heavier checked-baggage categories of 25kg, 30kg and 35kg online.

• Passengers who exceed their complimentary 20kg checked-baggage allowance at the check-in counter will incur excess-baggage fees. Each individual piece of checked baggage cannot exceed 32kg.

Firefly Food & Drinks

• Passengers need to purchase hot meals and beverages including hot drinks and cool drinks on-board. Passengers should pre-order for special meals at least 24 hours before flight departure. Firefly flights offer complimentary refreshments on board and for flights above 1 hour and 20 minutes, additional snacks are also available for purchase. 

• The airline does not accept any bookings or changes to in flight products or meals within 24 hours from the scheduled flight departure time.

• The meal booking option is only available for flights originating from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, SubangSkypark Terminal at Subang Airport.
